If we have nothing to say about all these instances of racial injustice and so much more, then we are as out of date as the King James Version and have even more fanciful notions than unicorns. But even more so, if we cannot translate these statements of the Gospel into meaningful action, then we have failed to do the core of the Gospel command. We have failed to follow in Jesus’ footsteps. We have failed to engage in the imitatio Christi, the imitation of Christ.
